The breakout single by producer, DJ and singer Peggy Gou, (It Goes Like) Nanana, released 15 June 2023 is an endlessly addictive and catchy slice of dance-pop that became an instant hit for the Korea-born, Berlin-based Peggy, and her first release as an artist under XL Records.
Peaking at Number 5 on the Official Singles Chart in July 2023, (It Goes Like) Nanana became Peggy Gou's first UK Top 10 hit.
On 18 August 2023 the song also helped break a new chart record for women on the Official Chart when the entire Top 6 of the Official Singles Chart was solely made up of female solo artists for the first time in the chart’s 70-year history. (It Goes Like) Nanana was at Number 5 that week, while Billie Eilish's What Was I Made For led the top spot, along with Dua Lipa's Dance The Night, Olivia Rodrigo's Vampire and Bad Idea, Right? and Taylor Swift's Cruel Summer.
