JUST ANOTHER RAINBOW
by LIAM GALLAGHER & JOHN SQUIRE
Just Another Rainbow sees Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher team up with The Stone Roses' guitarist John Squire.
Released on 5 January 2024 on limited edition 7” vinyl, Just Another Rainbow caught media and fans’ attention, and was confirmed by Official Charts to be initially leading the midweek race on the Official Chart First Look. It ended its opening week at Number 16, providing Liam with his highest-charting solo single to date, and gave John Squire his first solo Top 40 hit also.
The pair had teased a collaboration for some time, and in June 2023 Liam brought Squire out on stage at his Knebworth shows to perform Oasis’s 1995 classic Champagne Supernova, before tweeting “Super group incoming LG JS.”
While Just Another Rainbow is Gallagher & Squire’s first collaborative release out of the trap, the duo have alluded to more releases in the pipeline for 2024, including a joint album that will be “bigger than Revolver” apparently, in reference to The Beatles’ 1966 album.
