Do you believe? Scottish TNA wrestler Joe Hendry tried something a little different when he released one-off novelty single I Believe In Joe Hendry on 29 April 2024 with the ambition of landing in the UK's Official Singles Chart.
Engaging a small but devout following across social media, Joe ran a passionate grassroots campaign, with the rather unique angle that if he got to Number 1, it would allow Taylor Swift the chance to have a week off.
On Friday May 3, Official Charts confirmed that while, sadly, I Believe In Joe Hendry missed the Official Singles Chart, it did reach Number 6 on the Official Singles Sales Chart and a Top 5 hit on the Official Download Chart, peaking at Number 4.
Better luck next time, Joe. There's always the Christmas Number 1 race...
