yes, and? the title of Ariana Grande's 2024 comeback single may riff off the foundational rule of improv, but there is little space to fill in the blanks here.
Released 12 January 2024, yes, and? is the lead single from Ariana's album eternal sunshine (due out 8 March 2024), and marks Ariana's first new solo music in three years, since the release of her Positions album in 2020.
The track sees Ari reunite with super-producer Max Martin for the first time in half a decade, yes, and? is a slick and celebratory handbag house offering that carries more than a shade of Madonna's Vogue, Beyoncé's Renaissance (and, if we're being real, Mabel's Let Them Know) about it.
Engineered as a response track to media speculation about Ariana's personal life, yes, and? is a defiant move back to the dancefloor, and to the centre of the pop music competition...and a reminder to not believe everything you read.
On 19 January 2024, yes, and? entered the UK Official Singles Chart at Number 2 behind Noah Kahan's Stick Season. It was however the UK's best-selling track of the week, topping the Official Download Chart, the Physical Singles Chart, Sales Chart, and Number 1 on the Vinyl Singles Chart that week too.
