don't like the way acts can have 3 or 4 songs from the same album in the charts at the same time if its not released has a single then it shouldn't enter the charts, what do others think of this also would like to see top of the pops back on the BBC

Would’ve liked to have seen Houdini at #1, but Lovin On Me surprised me with how much I really like it so I’m not complaining. Shame Prada’s been so unlucky but I never expected it to be anywhere near as big as it is so it’s a win either way! As much as I don’t really like Now and Then, the Beatles definitely deserved that #1 and it was an amazing send off to a legacy band.

I know I haven’t commented here for a while and it’s not going to be a habit but I’ll pop up here and there :)

Hey! Good to see you here again. :)

I agree with almost all these points except I like 'Now and Then' a little more than you do.

woah, jack harlow at number 1 over dua lipa should be a crime! i like jack, he’s got some bangers, but there’s much better rappers out there, just saying.

and this part of the year is what i like to call a “bauble grenade” - the time of year where christmas music really starts exploding on the charts. ariana is back, the pogues and kirsty are telling their fairytale yet again, brenda is still rockin’ around that tree… and it, michael buble is ready to unleash on the charts for another december. shoot me now.

and i have no idea why it’s back, but say yes to heaven back at 64 is amazing! lana is always welcome on the charts anytime - i love her so much.

finally, the music video for first person shooter by drake and j cole dropped this week… and good god almighty this might be the best music video i’ve ever watched. the references, the visuals, the creativity… best. music video. ever. it also helps the song is one of my favourites of the year. i hope this can propel the song back into the top 40 or even higher

It gets fun when the Christmas singles start creeping back in! My fave ever is probably Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses, or December Will Be Magic Again by Kate Bush. Hope they come back in the chart :)

Piran and the others will be in tears next week when the Christmas songs climb into the top 40.

More Christmas songs are re entering the charts pushing those awful songs out of the top 40. For those of you wondering, no Ladbaby are not making another sausage roll parody this year

Good to see 'Northern Attitude' debut at #1 for you!

I also like 'Into The Walls' surging into the Top 5 even if the other two tracks from Griff's EP were much better for me.

G

2

Yeah veritgo was probably my favourite from the EP, but into the walls has grown on me a lot recently

Wow #16 for northern attitude, also wasn't expecting you're gonna go far to end up in the top 100 this week at all. Wish she calls me back charted higher though

‘Ten’ dropping out of the Top 40 this early is an absolute crime! 😔

I was kind of lukewarm when Central Cee sampled PinkPantheress a couple of years ago, but this new collab of theirs is thankfully a lot better for me.

Kind of wish more songs from the latter charted this week. Her debut album was fantastic, especially the singles. Can’t believe it’s only at #28 on the albums chart!

avatar

itsnoodleszn_

1

the rema collab was better imo

avatar

Piran

1

'Another Life'? That was a 6/10, but also the third lowest scoring track on the album for me! 😩

avatar

Piran

6

Good to see ‘Stick Season’ with a new peak and Noah Kahan landing yet another Top 20 hit. I really love this indie-folk sound he’s bringing to the charts right now! 😁

Shame Hozier didn’t get credited on the latter though…

avatar

Piran

4

‘Houdini’ getting off a strong start in the runner-up position is definitely the highlight of this week’s chart for me! ❤️

I love how Dua kept the disco sound from ‘Future Nostalgia’ while also exploring themes of 70s-inspired psychedelia, and that final hook is so euphoric too. Can’t wait for that third album coming next year!
