THIERRY
At least before the new webpage got into place, the OC used to check the posts and filters some comments but now it seems that so many people with mental issues like to post some nasty comments on the website!!
It is a forum about music and nothing else!!
itsnoodleszn_
i was literally just about to comment here, it seems revan was right for leaving a few weeks back because the back and forths this week are deplorable. occ seriously need to do something about these people because this has been me off for a while and it shows they have no life
to you and the others, im so sorry you have to deal with this every week </3
THIERRY
I do agree with you 100%. but the OC doesn't seem to care at all. Furthermore they lost so many interesting people since they upgraded their website and it is still a mess. Never improved it even though plenty of us made some fair comments about it!
I used to "know" many people on this website but so many have left and i hardly recognize anyone now...shame really.
Sunshine Gal
we can't post up links but that idiot can cuss at people here and his comments can still post up??

here's janis' iconic performance @ woodstock in 1969. jimi hendrix performed his iconic version of the u.s. national anthem. *jimi, janis & jim morisson of the doors would eerily pass away all @ the age of 27 and not too far from each other*
over 200k fans were @ this 3 day festival where it constantly rained, but many top artists of the 60s were there. & janis' performance remains 1 of the most iconic of this festival...enjoy everyone, hope you all can get to check the vid outside the u.s.: https://www.youtube.c*m/watch?v=Lz7x5pMdN0c

really cool and very interesting
Sunshine Gal
thank mate!! i'll pick more u.s. acts you all outside the states might not be too familiar with each month. here in america we've been blessed with so much diverse talent over the years.
Sunshine Gal
everyone, just ignore frank! what a huge ar*e!! LOL! i hope everyone had a great week! any songs on the uk singles chart or uk acts i should check out?
so i just wanna explain my artist of the month in my icon pic if some of you aren't too familiar...janis joplin was a psychedelic blues singer from the late 60's until her unexpected passing in 1970. even before i was born LOL! anyhow, she was such a passionate & electrifying artist that even 50+ yrs since she passed, she can still give new generations of fans goosebumps to her hauntingly beautiful voice. u.s. artist pink has named her as 1 of her top inspirations, also i believe uk artist joss stone has named janis joplin as a top inspiration. her iconic performance @ woodstock-1969 is 1 of her all time best performances. here are some of her best songs to check out:
1. *my personal fave* a woman left lonely/https://www.youtube.c*m/watch?v=qIExaTAkPM8
2. piece of my heart/https://www.youtube.c*m/watch?v=SCngPse1iiI

Chart Review 01/09/2023
Yes. That is all. Ok, I'll add to this review.
You may know by now that I keep banging my head against a wall with self-doubt, desperately praying that the lady known universally as "Olivia Rodrigo", can get to the top again. Now it's happened, and yet I feel kinda guilty. Not her fault, obviously, getting a third chart-topper is bound to get the fanbase rocking, especially 'cause it's taken 9 flippin' weeks to get there. It's just... it feels a little manipulated, y'know?
Doja Cat will probably be disappointed that Paint The Town Red couldn't take advantage of her dominance in the streaming, the highlight being her valiant assault on the Spotify charts to get to the top, the first song since Sprinter happened to get to the summit. That, combined with O-Rod being a somewhat distant loser on that front, should've meant that young Doje could get her 1st best-seller, right? RIGHT!?
wrong.
Instead, thanks to CDs or whatever, vampire is No.1, and I am perfectly fine with it. All of it bodes well for when GUTS hits the stores next Friday, so prepare your ears. I know I will.
In other news, Dua Lipa's been shafted by the rules again. Last week's number one suddenly slips to 15 this week, in an act last seen when Lewis Capaldi fixed his way to the top. Except this has nothing to do with physical copies, and more to do with the fact that ACR exists. Which , I'm sure. Becky Hill keeps climbing, and if you heard her at Reading festival, you may have noted that she wants this song at No.5. She couldn't even get that right, the lazy sausage. (just kidding.)
Alsö making inröads, but less excitingly, is cassö, the DJ yöu've never heard öf, and yet has a Top 10 hit tö his name. I öfficially nöw hate his hit. Blame D-Block Euröpe, alright? I didn't think Prada was that huge either, but here we are. And I'm nöt very happy. NÖT HAPPY. I will alsö replace any "o"s with "ö"s whever i talk aböut this söng. Deal with it, lame-ö's.
Right, new entries now, and Miley Cyrus will never leave the chart. Ever. She's still gonna be here when the sun swallows the Earth and we all die a horrible death. But for now, here's limp predictable ballad Used To Be Young to make you feel better. It will certainly make you feel more alive than I am talking about this one. And no, this isn't because my mum likes it. Honest.
As for the others, Selena Gomez hasn't had a thrilling return to the music industry, mainly because, erm... NOBODY WANTS HER TO. Not after the horrific 26 weeks I had to endure of Calm Down being in the Top 10 because of her influence. It was mindnumbing. Thankfully, Single Soon is way better than that travesty, but only turns out to be blindingly average. Just like most of her catalogue. ;) (now is the time to abuse me in the comments, fellow users)
And then there's Burna Boy. Everyone loves him. You do, I do, Ed Sheeran does. EVERYONE likes Burna Boy, which doesn't acocunt for the fact his chart history hasn't been spectacular in recent times. Hopefully his new No.1 album can address these difficulties, and with it comes 2 Top 40 songs to smear their way into your affections, Cheat On Me, which has Dave on it, so you know it's gonna be good, and City Boys, which isn't good. But well done or whatever. I prefer Big 7 anyway.
I'm gonna cut this review short because I'm STILL. ON. HOLIDAY. GOODNIGHT.
(P.S. When watching a Top of the Pops re-run from 1986 earlier today, it feels honorable to compare Barbie World by Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice, with Holiday Rap by MC Miker G and Daddy Sven. And yes, you need to listen to that song. It's a statement. It's a privilege. It definitely isn't Haven caravan park fluff you drink your sorrows away to. And it also sampled an iconic song.)

Post Malone is narrowly denied a first #1 single in my charts, but 'Dial Drunk' does become a career best for him (overtaking 'Sunflower' & 'Wow').

Lmao. I really don't care if you hate every song in my Top 10. Music is subjective, so you don't need to pretend that you're a fan of my personal taste if you aren't.
I called you out for the leaking in the original (and since edited) comment.
That comeback didn't really work out for you, did it? 😬
quesadilla
Whoever you think I am, that's who I am not. I couldn't care less about y'all and your accusations. I had never posted here, so this BS about me doxxing people is in your imagination. Your full name was always your username here, so there is nothing being "leaked," you paranoid toddler. Focus on that deranged lunatic who keeps attacking everyone instead.
Piran
Lol you have no evidence of me using my full name on this particular site (I did on a different commenting platform but that was over three years ago and removed it for a reason), I have a screenshot of you using doxxing me in your original message so don't even try to mislead everybody by the constant edits, and do you really expect me to take lectures about attacking people when you've just called me a "paranoid toddler"? A bit hypocritical on the latter part coming from somebody called Poopoo Plattah! 😂
Also, you do realise that just replying to Frank more will only further encourage him to spread hate, which is what absolutely nobody wants to see?

i know i’m a negative nancy from time to time but travis scott having not one mainstay hit from utopia is pain :(
and how can that godawful baddadan noise still be on the rise?!! probably the payola from grey-tracksuited idiots with £4 speakers
oh well, at least dua lipa managed to squeeze in a week at number 1 before acr - that’s what you call perfect timing
Piran
It surprises me how quickly all the Travis tracks left the Top 40!
Just as 'FE!N' really started to grow on me too. :/

Glad to see Burna Boy land a couple more songs in the Top 40, and especially debuting at #1 on the albums chart. :)
Definitely one of the best Afrobeats artists around right now for me! ❤️

top 10 albums:

and yes, you read that right: after 22 weeks on my albums chart - five of those at number 1 - lana del rey’s “…ocean blvd” leaves my albums chart for the first time. it may return as early as next week, but it’s rare for an album to have that much longevity on my albums chart, so hats off to lana for that… and she still has my album of the year on top of that :o
Piran
'Speed Drive' in the Top 5! 😊
menchiess
So happy to see Olivia at #1! She definitely deserves it after all this time of being blocked, although Doja Cat is probably gonna get the #1 next week
Piran
Shame ‘Meridian’ missed out on being here by such a small margin.
RIP ‘Little Things’ and ‘Chemical’ too! 🙏

naur this is aqcc a good list, i rate pakistan and sprinter being in great lol
richard melon 🛖
you saw nothing at #4 😩
as for baddadan, is that really that shocking considering how much i liked rumble 😳
itsnoodleszn_
piran, i hate to say this, but following that downgrade you are absolutely not kenough 🗿
Piran
'Rumble' and 'Baddadan' sound so different though lol. Based nonetheless! 😩

Sorry, but it's getting worse with every listen for me! 😳

, ‘Dance The Night’ going on ACR this early . :/
Oh well, at least Dua got a week at the top with it before it got hit!
H
haz
Tbf it had 14 good weeks but yh that drop is not good
Piran
Not surprised really. Even without ACR, the sales would've dropped off a lot anyway since Dua pushed the cassettes last week.
Piran
Three weeks in the chart and ‘Prada’ is already in the Top 10. That’s really good for a dance song in 2023!
Well done to Cassö, RAYE and D-Block Europe! 😁
Piran
So unlucky for Doja. At least she matched her personal peak today, but hoping she gets her long overdue chart-topper here soon!
Congratulations to Olivia on landing her third #1 single though. Really happy for her and can’t wait for the album next week! 😊
