Was thinking exactly that while scrolling down. Really not a fan of the "new" rules, i have to force myself to check out the charts now. The singles chart should be counting actual singles, not individual tracks from any release.

I think it's the best the chart's ever been as it's so democratic and truly reflects what people are buying and listening to, rather than what the record companies choose to release and radio stations choose to promote (although the latter obviously still has a significant impact). True, album tracks occasionally clutter up the very low reaches for a week every so often but it doesn't have much of an impact really.
It's just such a shame Radio 1 have chosen to self destruct the chart show into a pointless top 25 (and a heavily edited one at that!) :-/

Iron Maiden's The Book Of Souls is going knock Bieber right off the #1 spot in a few days.

At number 70 is Elton John with 'Tiny dancer' but on another chart website it's claiming that the song (with hold me closer in brackets) is by Ironick feat. Chipmunk and Elton John. 2 different songs, I was wondering what song is at number 70?

Music Week: "Used as the bed for a John Lewis Home Insurance TV ad, Elton John's 1971 album track Tiny Dancer breaks into the Top 75 [...] - although this is its first ever Top 75 appearance in its original version, it did provide the inspiration and sample for Tiny Dancer (Hold Me Closer), a number three 2009 hit for Ironik feat. Chipmunk & Elton John. Despite not being a single, Tiny Dancer has become one of Elton John’s most popular songs"

You can tell from the ISRC, this entry is the 1971 original. No doubt inspired to sell by the Remix cover that samples it.

I really hope EASY LOVE by Sigala is a big hit next week. This top tune samples ABC by the Jacksons

No sign in the top 100 of Iron Maiden's new single whilst Justin Bieber's gets to no. 1 Kids don't know what music is

It's because committed fans will buy the album not the singles. The album will probably chart well

Justin Biebers's song is actually very good, just another misleadead opinion. You don't have to be a fan, but that song is solid. And I agree with Nicholas, album will chart well probably.

A lot of people disagree that the song is 'solid' actually.
