ZAYN announces new album Room Under the Stairs
It'll be ZAYN's fourth solo studio release
ZAYN has announced a new album, Room Under the Stairs; his first in three years.
The former One Direction singer took to Instagram to share the album's cover art and release date: May 17 2024.
He has been teasing the album on social media in recent weeks, saying in an Instagram clip: "I think the intention behind this album fully is for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being.
"My ambitions, my fears, for them to have a connection with that, and that’s why it’s so raw."
Room Under the Stairs will be ZAYN's fourth solo album following Nobody Is Listening (2021), Icarus Falls (2018) and Mind of Mine (2016).
The latter peaked at Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart after yielding the Number 1 single Pillowtalk. To date, Zayn has racked up eight UK Top 40 hits including last year's Love Like This, which peaked at Number 36.

Zayn has yet to give further details about his new album, but we do know that he's been beavering away in the studio with Dave Cobb, a GRAMMY-winning producer who's also worked with Lady Gaga and Take That.
He told Rolling Stone in February: "What got me about Zayn was his voice, you can hear love, loss, pain, triumph and humanity in it. I feel as if this record is removing the glass from his spirit directly to his fans.
"Zayn has really created his own universe on this record, he really has no fear and is speaking straight from his soul."
