Zara Larsson is unleashed on new single Can't Tame Her: Listen to the effervescent 80s synth banger now

A new era is beginning for Zara Larsson, who has already started teasing a new comeback single, called Can't Tame Her. 

The lead single from Zara's upcoming third international studio album (following 2017's So Good and 2021's Poster Girl) sounds, in the best way, like a total banger. With shades of effervescent 80s synth-pop and empowering lyrics about how you can't "change, blame or tame" a girl who wants to "party all night." All power to you, we say hun. 

Sounding like a brilliant mash-up of The Weeknd's mammoth hit Blinding Lights and Ava Max's overlooked rammer Maybe You're The Problem, it's safe to say that we're holding out high hopes for this bop. As Zara is too, we imagine. She recently shared a snippet of the song's chorus accompanied by a choreography rehearsal (for, we're assuming, a brand new music video) and let's just say...she's taking it. 

Zara has apparently been working with Rick Nowels (Lana Del Rey, Marina) and Danja (Nelly Furtado, Britney Spears) extensively on her new album, although right now its un-clear which producers or writers worked on the new track, which does carrying something of the Max Martins about, it we won't lie...

Can't Tame Her's release will also see Zara entering a new and exciting phase of her career with a brand-new record label. Earlier this summer, it was announced that the Swedish starlet had opened her own label, Sommer House, licensed by Epic Records and Sony Sweden, and that she also holds all the master recording rights to her previous material, including hits like Lush Life and Ruin My Life, released under TEN Music Group in her native Sweden, making Zara one of the few pop girls working today to earn the rights of the music she's made.

Zara's last official release was the hypnotic dance anthem Words, with DJ Alesso, which peaked at Number 36 on the Official Singles Chart, giving her her 10th UK Top 40 entry. 

2021's Poster Girl entered the Official Albums Chart at Number 12, although Zara is perhaps best known for her sterling run of hits with MNEK collab Never Forget You (Number 5), pitch-perfect anthem Lush Life (Number 3) and I Would Like (Number 2), while Clean Bandit's orchestral banger Symphony gifted Zara her first UK chart topper.
