YouTube sensation dodie announces new EP Human and UK and Ireland tour dates
The singer-songwriter scored a Top 10 album in 2017 with her self-released EP You.
YouTube sensation-turned-chart-star dodie has announced details of her new EP and a massive tour.
The Epping-born singer-songwriter scored her Official Chart breakthrough last August, when her self-released You EP entered the albums Top 10 at Number 6. Her previous collection, Intertwined, debuted at 35.
The follow-up - a seven-track EP called Human - will follow on January 18, shortly before she kicks off a massive European tour in February, which includes seven UK shows concluding at London's Roundhouse on March 24. Tickets go on general sale on Friday, September 28 at 10am. See the full list of dates below.
The collection's title track is described as "a song about connection, deep interest and excitement for a new relationship," on which she sings: "Paint me in trust, I’ll be your best friend. Call me the one, this night just can’t end".
The 23 year old has first found fame online aged 16, when she began uploading music on YouTube from her bedroom. She now has over 1.7 million subscribers on the platform.

I checked this song out on Friday as the lead track human was released with tom Walker featured. I was a little unsure on first listen, second listen grew on me but I had wondered where Tom Walker's vocals were. By the 3rd listen this has become a favorite track of mine already, Dodie has some amazing vocals, this song is very sweet and tidy and couldn't be any better. Tom Walker is just pretty much on backing vocals but it makes the track so memorable and delicate that I dont think anybody could steal Dodie's moment from a masterpiece here. Take a few listens, it's well worth it.
