X Factor 2017 champions Rak-Su are heading for a Top 5 debut with their winner's single Dimelo.

The quartet released their self-penned song, which features Wyclef Jean and Naughty Boy, following their win on last Sunday's final (Dec 3).

Dimelo landed at Number 46 on yesterday's Official Chart Update with just a few hours of sales counted, climbing today to Number 6 in the latest sales flash (Dec 5).

The group are less than 1,000 combined sales away from entering the Top 5, closing in on Wham's Last Christmas.

Dimelo's final week 1 chart position will be revealed on OfficialCharts.com this Friday (Dec 8) at  5.45pm. View the latest Top 100.

Rak-Su, made up of members Ashley, Jamaal, Myles and Mustafa, triumphed over Grace Davies in the final and had been firm favourites for much of this year's X Factor, with their original material being well received.

Dimelo is now a contender for the 2017 Official Christmas Number 1, which this year is revealed on Friday, December 22. Seven of the X Factor's previous 13 winners have secured it –  Ben Haenow's Something I Need was the most recent, back in 2014.

Last year, winner Matt Terry reached Number 3 with his festive winner's single When Christmas Comes Around. But how will Rak-Su's track compare against previous X Factor winner's singles? Official Charts has looked into which ones have sold the most.
