Will Young scores fourth Number 1 album with 85% Proof
Plus new entries from The Vaccines, ASAP Rocky and Alesso.
After a close chart battle Will Young’s 85% Proof has taken this week’s Official Albums Chart Number 1 spot.
The album marks Young’s fourth UK chart-topper, following 2002 debut From Now On, 2003’s Friday’s Child and 2011’s Echoes.

The Vaccines land at Number 2 today, scoring their third Top 5 with English Graffiti, trailed by Taylor Swift’s 1989 (3) and Mumford & Sons’ Wilder Mind (4).
Rounding out today’s Top 5 is Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour (5), which this week celebrated its first birthday. Earlier this week, the Official Charts Company confirmed Smith is the only debut act since The Beatles to spend nearly a whole first year inside the Top 5 of the UK’s Official Albums Chart with their debut album. ASAP Rocky scores his second Top 10 this week with the most downloaded album of the week, At.Long.Last.Asap (10), as the Empire – Original Soundtrack From Season 1 lands at Number 18.
Swedish DJ/producer Alesso lands at Number 24 with debut Forever, while Australian band Hillsong United score their highest charting album to date with Empires (34).
Fleetwood Mac’s The Very Best Of is this week’s highest climber, jumping a massive 68 places to Number 17.
Following their performances at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Foo Fighters’ Greatest Hits (20) and Imagine Dragons’ Night Visions (31) also re-enter the Top 40.
Finally, Ed Sheeran’s x (8) earns the title of this week’s most streamed album, racking up nearly 2600 listens.
