Will Young and The Vaccines battle for this week’s Official Albums Chart Number 1
Will Young’s 85% Proof currently leads the race to this week’s Number 1, landing just over 1,000 combined chart sales ahead of The Vaccines’ English Graffiti (2) at this midweek stage.
Both acts have previously topped the chart: Young with 2002 debut From Now On, 2003’s Friday’s Child and 2011’s Echoes, and The Vaccines with 2012’s Come Of Age.

Elsewhere, Taylor Swift’s 1989 climbs one place to 3, trailed by Mumford & Sons’ Wilder Mind (4) and Brandon Flowers’ The Desired Effect (5).
New entries
ASAP Rocky is heading for a second UK Top 20 album this weekend with A L L A (At Long Last ASAP) (14), trailed by the Empire – Original Soundtrack From Season 1 cast recording (16).
Swedish DJ/producer Alesso lands at Number 17 today with debut Forever, while Australian band Hillsong United are heading for their highest charting album to date with Empires (19).
Northern Irish alternative rock band Ash’s sixth studio album Kablammo! is at 22 today, followed by Unknown Mortal Orchestra’s Multi-Love at 32.
Following their sets at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Foo Fighters’ Greatest Hits (21) and Sonic Highways (39) and Imagine Dragons’ Night Visions (30) are on track to re-enter the Top 40 on Sunday.
Elsewhere, Fleetwood Mac’s The Very Best Of (36) and Mark Knopfler’s Tracker (40) are also heading back to the Official Albums Chart Top 40.
