Wiley spends a second week at Number 1 with Heatwave

Wiley has fought off tough competition from Calvin Harris and Example’s We’ll Be Coming Back once again to spend a second week at Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart with Heatwave.

The sun-soaked summer smash gave the ‘King Of Grime’ his first UK solo Number 1 last weekend; the 33-year-old’s previous highest solo chart position came courtesy of 2008’s Wearing My Rolex, which peaked at Number 2.

Calvin Harris and Example’s We’ll Be Coming Back holds firm at Number 2, while pop rockers Laswon score their second Top 5 hit of 2012, and highest charting single to date, with new track Taking Over Me debuting at Number 3. Florence And The Machine slip one place to Number 4 with Spectrum, while Bristol DJ and producer, Redlight, secures this week’s second highest new entry with Lost In Your Love debuting at Number 5.

New Entries And Highest Climbers

In addition to Lawson’s Taking Over Me (Number 3) and Redlight’s Lost In Your Love (5), there are two other new entries in today’s Official Singles Chart Top 40. Dizzee Rascal FT Pepper’s Scream is new in at Number 22, while Icelandic indie folk outfit Of Monsters And Men score their first ever Official Singles Chart Top 40 hit with Little Talks (28).

AVICII’s Silhouettes is this week’s official highest climber, up 54 places from Number 93 to 39, while Dizzee Rascal’s signature hit, Bonkers, gives the East London grime star his second Top 40 hit on today’s chart, climbing 34 places to Number 31. Justin Bieber’s As Long As You Love Me (25) and Cheryl’s Under The Sun (36) are up 23 and 21 places, respectively.
