Wild Youth heading for the Top 5 on Official Irish Albums Chart with their debut EP The Last Goodbye
The Irish pop rockers are battling The Greatest Showman and A Star Is Born for Number 1.
Wild Youth are starting 2019 off on a strong note - their debut EP The Last Goodbye is heading for the Top 5 on this week's Official Irish Albums Chart.
The pop rock group's first release - a five-track EP that qualifies for the albums chart - sits at Number 3 in today's update (Jan. 28).
Wild Youth, who are signed to Warner Music Ireland, are one of 2019's hottest prospects. The four-piece played a free gig at Dublin's The Grand Social last Saturday, plus made their TV debut on RTÉ One's The Late Late Show to promote their new music.
Elsewhere on this week's chart, The Greatest Showman's cast recording is still proving hugely popular as it eyes up a 21st week at Number 1, while the latest album from acclaimed folk singer Tommy Fleming, Voice of Hope II, leaps up 18 positions. Fleming is currently touring Ireland, which could help boost the album towards a new peak of Number 9 this Friday (Feb. 1). Voice of Hope II was one of the Top 10 bestselling albums released in 2018 by an Irish act.
Wild Youth are among the acts featured in our rundown of exciting albums to look forward to by Irish artists in 2019.
