Who is Call Me Loop?

What did you call me?

Call Me Loop! (Her real name is Georgia). She's effortlessly cool, and her music is both infectious and extremely relatable.

The Surrey native (who now lives in Brixton) says she has wanted to be a singer for as long as she can remember - even as a child she would write songs and perform them at school. To give you an idea of where she's aiming at, some of her biggest influences are Rihanna, Amy Winehouse and Christina Aguilera.

Interesting, but what does her music sound like? 

She describes her sound as “sassy, emotive electronic pop”, which we can’t fault really. Her catalogue so far is pure pop bangers and anthems, and her new, super-empowering, single Self Love - see the brand new video below - is no exception.

Loop's previous single Silly Boy proves she has the chops to pull off a banger, and previous song Business showcases a more serious and defiant side to her songwriting. If you like Dua Lipa, Zara Larsson and Khalid you'll definitely find something in Call Me Loop's repertoire.

Check out Give ‘n’ Take, probably her best known track and one of last summer’s standout singles, which has clocked up 4.7 million streams in the UK alone.

Any co-signs? 

In 2017 Call Me Loop supported Jonas Blue on tour in Europe, and got a casual plug from Elton John when he hand-picked one of her tracks for his Beats1 show. No biggie.

Her alias came about from nicknames her mum gave her: Georgie-Lou, then Loopy-Lou, then Loop.
