Watch Imelda May's sultry performance of Sixth Sense in session - premiere
Imelda May's latest album Life Love Flesh Blood has been one of 2017's underrated gems, a lovelorn songbook filled with feelings of passion, intensity and liberation.
Imelda's fifth studio album, Life Love Flesh Blood, sees the singer adopting a fresh image and sound. The record reached Number 5 on the Official Albums Chart and topped the UK's Official Americana Albums Chart for good measure.
One of the more provocative tracks from the collection, Sixth Sense sees Imelda's sultry vocals vocals take centre stage as she sings: "You got my mind in the gutter of love, down on my knees, I can't get enough".
"I wrote Sixth Sense with my friend Paul Moak," Imelda told us. "He played this mood, sensual guitar piece after I told him of my travels in Paris and it felt perfect. I lifted my pen and the song flowed out of me.
"It's about a feeling, when you meet somebody, that you've met before, that you've dreamed about before. Somebody that you try to resist but the pull towards them is too strong to ignore. Irresistable, fabulously fatal, sixth sensual attraction."
