Ward Thomas premiere Lie Like Me video - watch

Two years ago, Ward Thomas led the charge for British country-pop after becoming the first UK country act to score a Number 1 on the Official UK Albums Chart with their second album Cartwheels. 

If twin sisters Lizzy and Catherine are feeling the pressure on a follow-up, it certainly doesn't show on new single Lie Like Me. Gone are the sweet smiling dispositions if favour of something a little less polished, albeit keeping their slick harmonies fully in tact. 

Continuing the millennial-friendly themes in Cartwheels, Lie Like Me is about the pit falls of masking your problems with a Valencia filter on social media. "It started as a way to feel better but it just never works for me," they confess, before adding: "Does the golden sky make you think my life is fine?"

The song's accompanying music video, premiered below, follows suit; flipping between dressed-down, makeup-free real life vs. polished pop stars. Watch below:
