Uptown Funk becomes longest-running US Number 1 single of the 2010s
Mark Ronson's track becomes one of ten songs ever to lead the Billboard chart for 13 weeks or more.
Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' Uptown Funk has become one of the longest-running US Number 1 singles ever.
The soul-funk track logs a 13th week atop the Billboard Hot 100 this week, making it the longest-leading chart-topper of the 2010s in the States above the likes of Robin Thicke's Bluured Lines (12 weeks) and Pharrell's Happy (10 weeks).
The feat also makes it one of only ten songs ever to lead the tally for at least that long. Mariah Carey holds the title for the longest-running Number 1 on the chart at 16 weeks with her Boyz II Men collaboration One Sweet Day.
Elsewhere on this week's Hot 100, Maroon 5's Sugar holds at 2 for a third week, and Ed Sheeran's Thinking Out Loud is at 3.
The Weeknd's Fifty Shades Of Grey song Earned It reached a new peak at Number 5, Fetty Wap's Trap Queen climbs from 8 to 6, and leaping from 13 into the Top 10 is Natalie La Rose FT Jeremih's Somebody.
Further down the chart, Jason Derulo's latest track Want To Want Me vaults 27 to 17, and Rihanna debuts at Number 23 with Bitch Better Have My Money.
