Three Lions eyes Number 1 return: Baddiel, Skinner & Lightning Seeds' post-Euros surge
It may not be coming home, after Spain took a 2-1 victory against England in the final of the UEFA European Football Championship last weekend, but that's not enough to dampen the nation's spirits.
Following last Sunday's match, Baddiel, Skinner & Lightning Seeds' England footballing anthem Three Lions could see a spectacular return to the Official Singles Chart summit this week; predicted to benefit from a 19-place post-Euros surge to the Number 1 spot in today's latest update.

In today's sales flash (July 16), the classic sits just over 2,300 UK chart units ahead of its closest competition - Sabrina Carpenter's reigning chart-topper Espresso - at Number 1.
Should it hold on come Friday (July 19), it'd mark the first time the track's returned to the top spot in six years. Three Lions last sat at the summit amid the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Originally released in 1996 as the England team's official anthem, Three Lions has spent three non-consecutive weeks at Number 1 to date; managing it twice in '96 and once again in 2018.
Could it claim a fourth this week?
Elsewhere in today's Official Singles Chart update, Eminem looks set to see three songs from his The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce) occupy the Top 10; former chart-topper Houdini (5), plus brand-new tracks Habits (9) and Renaissance (10).
Listen to The Official Chart with Jack Saunders this Friday from 4pm on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Sounds to find out whether Three Lions can go all the way, or whether Sabrina's Espresso has secured another shot at Number 1.
