The xx release new song On Hold from their upcoming third album I See You - listen

The xx have released a new song titled On Hold, which serves as the lead track from their upcoming third album I See You.

The record, which is 10 songs in total, will be released on January 13, 2017 via Young Turks. I See You follows their previous albums, 2009's Mercury Prize winning xx and 2012's Coexist.

I See You was recorded between March 2014 and August 2016 in New York, Texas, Reykjavik, Los Angeles and London and co-produced by band member Jamie Smith. A press release describes the album as “more outward-looking, open and expansive”.
