The Voice Kids UK: Pixie Lott and McFly's Danny Jones have been confirmed as coaches
The coaching line-up for the first series of The Voice Kids has been confirmed, with a combined 20 UK Number 1 singles between the lineup.
will.i.am was already announced for the children's version of the hit singing competition, and now three-time chart-topper Pixie Lott, and McFly (and McBusted!)'s Danny Jones complete the chair-spinning roster.
Pixie has recently been starring in the West End production of Breakfast at Tiffany's, and has three Number 1 singles to her name: Mama Do, Boys & Girls and All About Tonight. Click here to view Pixie's UK chart history.
Pixie said in a statement: "I can’t wait to join The Voice Kids and help discover the next big star. I have such a passion for talented young people and I know the UK will have lots – I can’t wait to hear them! I’m looking forward to getting started and working alongside my fellow coaches will.i.am and Danny Jones."
Danny Jones has major chart success with McFly, notching up an impressive seven Number 1 singles in the UK, the same as the likes of Michael Jackson, Kylie Minogue and Tinie Tempah. Look back at McFly's back catalogue of UK hits.
The Voice Kids will air on ITV in 2017, as will its parent show The Voice UK. Both shows will be hosted by Emma Willis, with Cel Spellman acting as the V Room correspondent on the UTV Hub for both editions of the popular contest.
The coaching line-up for Series 6 of The Voice UK is pretty different from the final season to air on the BBC, with will.i.am returning, while Sir Tom Jones has been reinstated after one year away. New coaches are Jennifer Hudson and Bush lead singer Gavin Rossdale.
