The UK's Official Top 40 best-selling horror films of all time on DVD and Blu-ray revealed
Grab your popcorn and get ready for a fright!
It's the most wonderful time of the year – if you're an evil spirit, demon, or vampire, that is.
Halloween is coming, and if you've already got your spooky cosplay sorted, you've got plenty of time to scare yourself senseless with a classic horror. Whatever freaks you out, it's all here: aliens, plenty of sharks, lots of zombies, and even a ballerina and a clown.
Wondering where classic like Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street and The Omen are? Well, sadly, their DVD sales don't quite match their popularity on VHS (remember those?).
Leading the way at Number 1 is Will Smith's sci-fi horror monster-fest, I Am Legend. The post-apocalyptic horror from 2007 features Will as Robert Neville, who attempts to find a safe haven from a mutant-riddled New York. The film is one of the biggest ever sellers on DVD in the UK with 2.35 million sales to date.
Simon Pegg's classic comedy horror Shaun of the Dead finishes in the runner-up slot with 2.28 million DVDs and Blu-rays sold, and 2004 monster hunting epic Van Helsing is at Number 3.
Meanwhile, two of the Alien films finish inside the Top 10 at Numbers 5 and 6, while all three movies in the Blade trilogy chart at 11, 12 and 30 respectively.
Check out the full list below – just don't blame us if you have any nightmares...

Blade is a super hero, set in the Horror genre.

Well Am Legend is a horror film. It is science based horror, bu horror non the less. Mixed genre films still count.
Shaun if The Dead is a comedy, but clearly a horror film.
