The Official Top 10 biggest country songs of 2024 so far in the UK
As country music experiences a UK boom, these are the biggest tracks leading the way.
In case you haven't already heard, country music is SO back in the UK.
Last week, Official Charts revealed that country music success in the UK had surged up 67% in 2024 compared to the same timeframe in 2023, marking a new renaissance for the genre, which has traditionally been hard to break on a commercial level on these shores.
Don't believe us? Dolly Parton and Shania Twain have never reached Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart...we rest our case.
Leading the charge (as always), Beyoncé has officially claimed the biggest country song of 2024 so far in the UK with her Number 1 hit TEXAS HOLD 'EM, taken from her ambitious eighth studio album COWBOY CARTER.
Official Charts Company data confirms that, to date, TEXAS HOLD 'EM has accumulated 655,000 UK chart units to date, including 71 million streams. Earlier this year, the energetic track became Queen Bey's sixth UK Number 1 single following Crazy In Love (2003) and Deja-Vu (2007) both with Jay-Z, Beautiful Liar with Shakira (2007), If I Were A Boy (2008) and Telephone with Lady Gaga (2009).
TEXAS HOLD 'EM kept its grip at the top of the Official Singles Chart for five non-consecutive weeks, the second longest run at the top for the year, behind the seven consecutive weeks Noah Kahan spent at Number 1 with Stick Season.
Coming in second place we have Austin by Dasha, which despite dropping near the end of 2023 truly caught fire this year, becoming Dasha's first UK Top 10 single, peaking all the way at Number 7.
Speaking exclusively to Official Charts about Austin's UK success, Dasha said that: "I think we're entering a new era for country music, and it brings a touch of authenticity that's been missing from pop music for a while. It's so exciting to be a part of that."
Coming in at Number 3 we have Zach Bryan and Kacey Musgraves' tender duet I Remember Everything, with Shaboozey (a featured artist on COWBOY CARTER) at Number 4 with his breakthrough hit, A Bar Song (Tipsy), which has so far peaked at Number 3 in the UK.
Completing the Top 5 we have Noah Kahan, whose country-focused track Dial Drunk sits at Number 5, with the track getting a big boost this year thanks to the release of a remix featuring Post Malone.
Speaking of Post Malone, the latest entry into the Top 10 is Posty's Shania-esque team-up with Morgan Wallen, I Had Some Help, which recently debuted at Number 2 on the Official Singles Chart. It's the first taste of Post's forthcoming country album, and signified a bold flag in the ground for Morgan (a veritable superstar in his native US), becoming his first-ever UK Top 10 single.
