The Official best-selling vinyl albums and singles of 2025 so far
The biggest vinyl records of 2025 so far, featuring Sam Fender, Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan and Lola Young

All this week Official Charts are marking 10 years of the Official Vinyl Charts, originally launched in April 2015 as a response to the vinyl resurgence that was gripping the UK and has continued at pace ever since. To mark the occasion, we recently revealed the best-selling new vinyl releases of the last 10 years.
Now, it's time to turn our attention to the best-selling vinyl albums and singles of the year to date.
Sam Fender's People Watching is the biggest vinyl album of 2025 so far.
When it was released in February of this year, Sam's third studio album broke records, becoming the fastest-selling vinyl album by a British act this century.
That puts it a shade ahead of Taylor Swift's Lover (Live from Paris). Originally released in limited quantity in 2023, Taylor's live document rocketed to the top of the Official Albums Chart in February thanks to a new, heart-shaped 2LP vinyl variant released in time for Valentine’s Day.
In the process, Taylor became the first female artist ever to achieve 13 UK Number 1 albums. Before then, she was tied with Madonna at 12 Number 1 albums apiece.
Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter's Short N' Sweet – home to the Number 1 singles Espresso, Please Please Please and Taste – is the third biggest vinyl album of 2025 so far.
Completing the Top 5 are Lady Gaga's pop blockbuster MAYHEM and Chappell Roan's dazzling debut The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
Other albums released in 2025 to make the Top 40 include Manic Street Preachers' Critical Thinking (9), FKA twigs' EUSEXUA (18) and Tate McRae's So Close To What (26).
