The first ever Eurovision Asia has been announced
20 Asia Pacific countries are set to battle it out for best song.
Details of the first ever Asia-Pacific Eurovision Song Contest have been announced.
After months of rumours, reports and sort-of confirmations, Eurovision has formally announced the launch of Eurovision Asia.
While the format is still in development, Eurovision's official website states that up to 20 countries will come together and compete in a live annual Grand Final.

The Eurovision Song Content was launched in 1956 and primarily sees member countries of the European Broadcasting Union compete. It remains the longest-running annual international TV song competition.
Just seven countries sent acts to compete in the first Eurovision, which saw the Netherlands take the crown with Jetty Paerl's De vogels van Holland. Now, over 40 countries take part every year.

i just imagine if they do the same here in latinamerica today, as they did in the 70s/50s with OTI (the latam EBU) Festival. 30 different kind of reggaeton or bachata tracks. blimey
