The Christmas songs you’ve been buying this week revealed!
It's the first day of December and a lot of Christmas tracks already look set to enter the Official Singles Chart this weekend.
It’s the first day of December and it seems as though everyone in the UK’s thoughts have already turned to Christmas – or rather Christmas songs.
Following yesterday’s Official Chart Update, where it was announced that The Pogues’ 1987 Number 2 hit, ‘Fairy Tale Of New York’ Ft the late Kirsty MacColl, was a re-entry in the Official Singles Chart Update at Number 33, it became an instant trending topic on social networking service Twitter. And, with Mariah Carey's 1994 hit, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’, also looking set to re-enter the Official Singles Chart Top 40 this Sunday, we reveal the UK’s Top 10 festive tracks, as purchased by you this week, according to this morning’s Official Charts Company sales data.
They are as follows:

02 FAIRYTALE OF NEW YORK – THE POGUES FT KIRSTY MACCOLL

05 I WISH IT COULD BE CHRISTMAS EVERYDAY – WIZZARD
06 DO THEY KNOW IT'S CHRISTMAS - BAND AID
07 WHITE CHRISTMAS - LADY GAGA
08 MERRY XMAS EVERYBODY - SLADE
09 MISTLETOE - JUSTIN BIEBER
10 DRIVING HOME FOR CHRISTMAS - CHRIS REA
