The Chainsmokers and Halsey earn their first Number 1 single in Australia with Closer
Plus there's a big new entry from DJ Snake and Justin Bieber on this week's ARIA chart.
The Chainsmokers and Halsey are Number 1 in Australia, the first chart topper for each act.
Their collaboration Closer is The Chainsmokers' fourth Top 5 hit in Australia. The duo's previous peak of Number 3 was achieved by #Selfie and matched by Don't Let Me Down featuring Daya while their other single Roses peaked at Number 5.
Closer is Halsey's second Top 30 entry following her featured slot on Justin Bieber's The Feeling. Her album Badlands also fared well in the territory, reaching Number 2 in 2015.

Major Lazer's Cold Water drops one place to Number 2, while DJ Snake's Let Me Love You with Justin Bieber is a new entry at 3. twenty one pilots are close behind at 5 with Heathens and Jonas Blue's Perfect Strangers hits a new high of Number 7.
Further down the chart, Charlie Puth and Selena Gomez climb three places to 13 with We Don't Talk Anymore, Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa and Imagine Dragons' Sucker For Pain featuring X Ambassadors, Ty Dolla $ign and Logic debuts at 17 and MØ's Final Song returns to its best position of 18.
Over on the ARIA Albums Chart, the Suicide Squad soundtrack enters at Number 1, edging out new albums from Australian acts Bernard Fanning and Montaigne, whose respective albums Civil Dusk and Glorious Heights enter at 2 and 4.
