The Beach Boys are going orchestral with a brand new album.

The Beach Boys With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is released on June 8, with the iconic boy band teaming up with the renowned orchestra to reinvent their classic songs.

Don Reedman and Nick Patrick, who produced the successful RPO albums with Elvis Presley (If I Can Dream and The Wonder of You) and Roy Orbison (A Love So Beautiful) are behind the project.

If I Can Dream and The Wonder Of You became Elvis Presley's 12th and 13th UK Number 1 albums (the former sold over one million copies), while A Love So Beautiful - which peaked at Number 2 on the Official Albums Chart - was the 11th best-selling album of 2017.

Is similar success on the way for The Beach Boys?

Beach Boys co-founder Brian Wilson said: “I always knew the vocal arrangements I did back in the 1960s would lend themselves perfectly for a symphony and there is no better one in the world than the Royal Philharmonic. I am both proud and humbled by what they have created using our songs and I hope everyone falls in love with it like I have.”

The Beach Boys With The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra is now available to pre-order digitally and on CD. The vinyl edition will be released on August 17.
