It’s going to be all change at the top of the Official Albums Chart this weekend as The 1975 are poised to knock Avenged Sevenfold’s Hail To The King off Number 1.
The Manchester-based band, who are fronted by Matthew Healy (son of Benidorm’s Timothy Healy and Loose Women’s Denise Welch) are currently in pole position on today’s midweek rundown with their eponymous debut album, which is outselling its closest competitors – Nine Inch Nail’s Hesitation Marks (Number 2) by more than two copies to one. The 1975 includes the band’s three Top 40 singles - Chocolate (19), The City (30) and Sex (34).
Avenged Sevenfold, who scored their first ever UK Number 1 album last Sunday with Hail To The King, fall eight places to Number 9 on today’s Official Albums Chart Update.
Meanwhile, Jordan and Harley, AKA Rizzle Kicks, are new in today at Number 3 with their second album, Roaring 20s, while Naughty Boy’s Hotel Cabana (down two to Number 4) and Richard And Adam’s The Impossible Dream (5) complete the Top 5.

20 year old Ariana Grande, AKA Cat Valentine from Nickelodeon's Victorious and the spin-off show Sam & Cat, looks set to make her UK chart debut this weekend with Yours Truly (Number 6 today), while Peter Doherty’s Babyshambles are heading for their second Top 10 album with Sequel To The Prequel (8). South London duo Krept & Konan are also Top 10-bound with Young Kingz (10).
