Ariana Grande lands straight in at Number 1 on this week's Official Irish Singles Chart.
thank u, next – surprise-released last Saturday – debuts at the top to earn Ariana her second Number 1 of 2018, following No Tears Left To Cry in April. It’s Ariana’s third chart-topper in Ireland overall – Problem ft. Iggy Azalea reached Number 1 in 2014.
Last week’s Number 1, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's Shallow, slips to 2, while Little Mix claim their fifth Top 3 single, as Woman Like Me featuring Nicki Minaj rises one place to a new peak of Number 3.
New entries and high climbers
Halsey scores her first Top 10 hit as a lead artist with Without Me, vaulting eight positions to Number 9, while Sweet By Psycho by Ava Max rockets into the Top 20, up sixteen to 16. Dua Lipa and Blackpink's Kiss And Make Up also lifts into the Top 20 for the first time, hitting a new high of 18.
Zara Larsson leaps nine places to 24 with Ruin My Life, while Benny Blanco & Calvin Harris chalk up a new entry with I Found You at 31. Just behind them are Ellie Goulding, Diplo and Swae Lee with Close To You, which climbs eight rungs to 32.
After performing their latest hits on The X Factor UK, Jonas Blue's Polaroid ft. Liam Payne and Lennon Stella jumps ten places to 36, and James Arthur's Empty Space debuts 48.
Finally, Clean Bandit's Baby ft. Marina and Luis Fonsi debuts at 39, and Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody returns to the Top 50 at 46 following the release of the movie of the same name.
