Taylor Swift to dominate Top 10 following Speak Now (Taylor's Version) release
Taylor Swift is set to dominate the Official Singles Chart Top 10 following the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). Mine (Taylor’s Version) is tracking to become this week’s highest new entry at Number 4, Better Than Revenge (Taylor’s Version) follows at Number 7, while Lover single Cruel Summer (8) could secure Taylor a trio of Top 10 hits come Friday.
Taylor is no match for Dave & Central Cee, though. The duo are on their way to a sixth week at Number 1 with Sprinter.
Peggy Gou’s irresistible dance tune (It Goes Like) Nanana is heading for the Top 5 (5), while Nathan Dawe, Joel Corry and Ella Henderson’s 0800 HEAVEN is flying up to the Top 10 (10).
Kylie Minogue’s Padam Padam is as popular as ever, possibly ready to ricochet back into the Top 10 (9).
Jorja Smith’s Little Things could rise to a new peak (13), as could The Weeknd, Madonna and Playboi Carti with Popular (15).
We could also be looking at brand-new peaks inside the Top 20 for Tom Grennan's How Does It Feel (16) and Anne-Marie & Shania Twain’s Unhealthy (17).

taylor isn’t exactly “dominating” the top 10 as long as the three song rule exists
D
djcarbines
It's also a bit hard to call it 'dominating' without the #1 too.

Chart Update 09/07/2023
You know what time it is? It's that time where I, the most obnoxious reviewer in the land (objectively) make snarky comments about what can potentially be the new UK Top 20 in 5 days time. Obviously, the new hits here will sink into oblivion, as they have been doing on Spotify, but that's to be expected. Anyways... whatevs.
20. Loreen - Tattoo (7/10) Oh hey Loreen is back. Why????
19. Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding - Miracle (7/10) Oh well. It was nice while it lasted. Now everybody has to realize that A), this isn't on Ellie's former No.1 album, and B), NONE OF THE SONGS FROM THAT ALBUM MADE THE CHART AT ALL. Words fail me sometimes.
18. David Guetta/Anne-Marie/Coi Leray - Baby Don't Hurt Me (4/10) This song has seriously outstayed its welcome now. I mean, how many weeks can you go before everyone gets sick of you, David?
17. Anne-Marie & Shania Twain - UNHEALTHY (3.1/10) I made a funny comment about it last week, and that comment is so accurate it somehow makes the song better. By like a millimetre.
16. Tom Grennan - How Does It Feel (2/10) I got a comment when reviewing these songs last week that says I show modesty. This is something Tom here needs to learn, because none of the songs on his new album are any good.
15. The Weeknd/Madonna/ Carti - POPULAR (6/10) In other news, The Weeknd is still trying to be cool, in and amongst the scathing reviews he got for The Idol. Maybe it's best not to get HBO after all then.
14. Dua Lipa - Dance The Night (6/10) BARBIE MOVIE OUT IN 12 DAYS GET THAT ON YOUR CALENDAR FOLKS. anyways this song is fine.
13. Jorja Smith - Little Things (7/10) YES. KEEP CLIMBING. Prove all the other dance hits out there wrong by showing you can make an ORIGINAL tune. And a GOOD one as well, naturally.
12. D-Block Europe & Clavish - Pakistan (5/10) I STILL haven't heard this one the radio at all. It's that much of a wasted space in the chart. Still, I'm sure The 1975 of UK Grime (that meaning their chart positions are all over the shop) won't be too blown away at only falling a couple spots.
11. Harry Styles - As It Was (6/10) I've had dental practises that have been shorter than this song's stay in the Top 40. Please don't let this be another Bad Habits situation where it inevitably tops the best-sellers for 2023. PLEASE.
10. Nathan Dawe/Joel Corry/Ella Henderson - 0800 HEAVEN (2/10) Unfortunately, Alfie can't comment on this one. He is too busy having an epileptic fit to care about this song's ascension.
9. Kylie Minogue - Padam Padam (6/10) Kylie fell out of the Top 10 last week. Not like anyone cares, but she's BACK AGAIN LOSERS.
8. Taylor Swift - Cruel Summer (5/10) You can't move for Swifty news at the moment. She's as inescapable as she usually is when she releases 'new' material. Speaking of which...
7. Taylor Swift - Better Than Revenge (Taylor's Version) (TBA/10) Haven't heard it. Don't blame me for it. This never charted in the UK. And this was during her pre-popstar phase of dishing out country floorfillers. Given the inexplicable rise of I Can See You (TV) and it's new video, this probably won't chart. Not her fault.
6. Hannah Lairo & RoRo - Good Love (4/10) Meanwhile, the 2nd most popular Scot in the dance scene isn't going anywhere, dangit.
5. Peggy Gou - (It Goes Like) Nanana (5/10) I mixed up the brackets for these last week, and now I feel very guilty about it. Sos.
4. Taylor Swift - Mine (Taylor's Version) (5/10) This was the only song from the original Speak Now to chart, reaching No.30, back when people were too busy buying the likes of Jay Sean, Pixie Lott, Diana Vickers, Michael Buble and JOE MCELDERRY. That changes now, unsurprisingly, but given how fall this song has fallen on the Spotify chart, it will probably be a miracle if it stays anywhere near this position on Friday.
3. J Hus ft. Drake - Who Told You (8/10) J Hus has an album coming out soon. So does everybody else on the planet, but I'm not complaining. I'm just disappointed that PJ Harvey has as mich chance of topping the album chart next week as I do. And I never release music. It's too risky. (also I don't know any instruments and such but that's not the point)
2. Olivia Rodrigo - vampire (6.6/10) Contrary to what someone told me when I posted my last review, O-Rod DIDN'T get the top spot. And that ain't changing. Which is kind of soul-crushing when you think about it.
1. Dave & Central Cee - Sprinter (5/10) I also got told last week that Starlight only got 4 weeks, and that this song was tying with Take Me Back To London. Well now that DCC are headed for Week No.6 at the top, maybe this comment seems a little irrelevant now. Predictably.
Yep. That's that. Nothing else to say here.
(P.S. Oh so NOW it does it for me. Still, at least you get to read what I have to say. Stormzy, Gunna, Jazzy, Rudimental, and Switch Disco all fall out, by the way. Naturally, SOME of these songs could make a grown man weep is anguish at how awful they are.)

I kept trying to make a review about the goings on this week, but apparently, "the form is outdated", so I can't. Well, newsflash 'form', I DON'T CARE. Oh, and I talked about how calling Anne-Marie's song by what it is narrowly makes it better, Taylor Swift having a symbiotic relationship with the music industry, the album chart being a closed shop, talking about how previous comments seem totally irrelevant to what ACTUALLY happened, and the never-ending pile of ACR casualties that make the chart better as a result. I never liked Switch Disco anyway.

Also I didn't give a rating for Better Than Revenge (TV) because it probably won't even be here next week. What with I Can See You (TV) firing on all cylinders and that.

I don’t like the rule of an artist having no more than 3 songs charting at once. Midnights was very popular and now only 2 songs from SNTV are charting as well as cruel summer
itsnoodleszn_
i wish we could get rid of it too, but it’s a lose-lose situation too because there’ll always be that one person who’ll complain when big artists like drake, taylor swift etc get album bombs. i don’t mind acr tho, shakes the charts up a bit.

'(It Goes Like) Nanana' in the Top 5 is amazing to see! ❤️
'0800 Heaven' still gaining nicely! Ella's having an amazing year. :)

So glad to three Taylor songs in the Top 10! 😍
'Enchanted (TV)' is my favourite from the re-recorded version of 'Speak Now', but the UK still made two fantastic choices for tracks to debut from it.
Piran
, lots of dance songs hit by ACR this week.
Disappointed to see 'Miracle' be one of them, but it had a fantastic run! 😊
