She earned her first UK Number 1 and whipped up a storm on both Spotify and YouTube - now Taylor Swift has stopped Luis Fonsi in his history-making tracks in the US.

Despacito (Remix) by Fonsi, Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber, had equalled the longest consecutive streak at Number 1 in the United States on the Billboard Hot 100, a 16-week stint that matched the record set by Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men's One Sweet Day in 1995-96.

Taylor has saved the day for Mariah fans, as Look What You Made Me Do dethrones Despacito at its final hurdle. Still, being able to make history repeat itself is pretty cool, right?

Look What You Made Me Do is the new Number 1 on the Billboard chart, pushing Despacito down to Number 2. With 353,000 downloads amassed, Taylor has bagged the strongest sales week of 2017 so far. LWYMMD also notched up an incredible 84.4 million streams, the highest figure this year and the second highest figure ever Stateside.

Taylor is also the first woman to top the US charts in 2017, and is the first female to score a chart topper without an accompanying star since Adele's Hello in October 2015. And the cherry on top? It's Taylor's third lead single in a row to top the US charts.

Luis, Daddy and Justin can't come to the phone right now. You know why? Oh. Because their chart run is dead.
