Take That score 12th Number 1 single with These Days
The track, which trailers their seventh studio album III, overtakes midweek leaders Band Aid 30 to take the top spot by just 2,500 copies.
The trio told OfficialCharts.com: "We cannot believe it, we're really made-up and we can't thank everybody enough."
The feat earns the now three-piece band their 12th Number 1 single and first chart-topper in six years after 2008’s Greatest Day.
