Surprise! Rihanna's new album ANTi is out... and it's free
After months (and months) of teasing, Rihanna has finally released her ANTi album... and it's free! Well, for a while anyway.
The superstar's eighth studio album was released by surprise late on Wednesday (January 27), after the collection accidentally leaked on streaming service TIDAL earlier in the day.
UPDATE: in addition to its free release on TIDAL, ANTi is now available to purchase on iTunes, making it eligible for the Official Albums Chart, though copies that were previously downloaded for free will not count. The album will also be issued on physical CD on February 5.
ANTi will stream exclusively for a week on TIDAL, which is also has a limited number of free download codes available. The codes were offered as a "gift" from Rihanna and Samsung and they come with a 60-day free TIDAL trial.

I wonder what chart position she would achieve without downloading and streaming? I wish the charts could go back to people having to go to a retail store to buy a copy - full price.

I bet you wish we could go back to people having dial-up, house phones and black and white TVs as well right? If your answer is no then stfu and accept the fact that this (downloading and streaming) is now (the way people access music) and that was then--its called technology!
