Suicide Squad devastating Official Video Chart competition for a second week
In a year that has seen Deadpool, Captain America: Civil War and Batman v Superman hit Number 1 on the Official Video Chart for several weeks, it looks like another superhero movie will enjoy a major tenure on top.
After becoming the UK's best selling DVD and Blu-ray of the week following sales of 286,000 last week, Suicide Squad looks to sit pretty on top for a second week.
We can reveal exclusively in today's Chart Update that the Will Smith and Margot Robbie-starring movie has shifted 74,500 copies as of today's midweek stage.
Behind the Squad at 2 is Finding Dory, another former Number 1 in The BFG is at 3, the Secret Life of Pets is at 4, and Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie sits at five, down a potential two places from last week.
New entries and high climbers
David Brent's Life on the Road looks to impact the Top 10 this week at Number 6, spearheaded by promotion of the movie from the 12 Disciples of David Brent at St. Pancras Station. Rafe Spall and Harry Enfield's Swallows and Amazons should also dent the Top 10 and is at Number 8 today.
A big climber this week is The Beatles' Eight Days A Week - The Touring Years, up seven to Number 10, and Kevin Spacey comedy Nine Lives looks to debut at 24.
The Original London Cast version of Miss Saigon may reenter the Top 40 at 32, up 15 places, ahead of horror film Lights Out at 36 and Zac Efron comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates at 39.
