Suicide Squad and Finding Dory battling for Xmas Number 1 DVD crown
The Official Video Chart delivers the goods once again when it comes to unprecedented chart clashes.
If you see some rectangular wrapped objects in-front of your eyes this Christmas... then chances are that they are DVDs as many are selling huge numbers this week.
Two week chart topper Suicide Squad could snap up the coveted Christmas Number 1 DVD & Blu-ray, but faces stiff competition from former No.1 Finding Dory. As of today's Update, just 1,100 copies separate the two cinema giants, with the Margot Robbie movie just ahead on 60,600 units sold so far.
The BFG is a strong seller at Number 3 so far this week, The Secret Life of Pets continues its sales dominance at 4, followed by Jason Bourne, a shoe-in gift for Dads at Number 5.
New entries and high climbers
The Beatles' music documentary Eight Days A Week vaults three places to Number 7 at the halfway point, ahead of another three rank climber - Elf at Number 9. Billy Connolly's High Horse Tour is also rising, by - you guessed it - three spots to Number 11.
Further down the chart, The Grinch rockets six placings to Number 15, and Oasis' Supersonic doc is a five rung climber to a potential end game of 22. Finally, Oscar winner The Revenant is on course for a upward move of five to Number 26 and Top Gear: From A-Z - The Ultimate drives four places to Number 40.
