Prolific pop powerhouse Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman - affectionately known as Stock Aitken Waterman - have been honoured with a blue plaque outside their former studio in Southwark, London.

The trio behind some of the most iconic tracks of the '80s and '90s - including Dead or Alive's You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) and Kylie Minogue's I Should Be So Lucky - reunited to unveil the plaque at London's Vine Yard; their 'hit factory' from 1984-1993.

Speaking at the ceremony, Pete Waterman said: "This was a magical building to us. There are so many memories here in terms of the story of pop. This building was special.

"It's different now, this area's quite trendy. When we first moved here, this was the worst area in London.

"We used to have to guide the staff [to the main road] at night because there were dead bodies there, and that is not a joke.

"But it was home to us, and the local community was fantastic."
