Soul singer Rhys Lewis unveils Living In The City music video: Premiere
The uplifting track from the Oxford-born singer is a one to watch.
Rising star Rhys Lewis is gearing up for big things this year.
The 23 year old singer-songwriter from Oxford is the latest act to join Universal's Decca Records (home to acts including The Lumineers, Imelda May and The Shires), and there's a good chance you're going to be hearing a lot more of him in 2017.
His latest track Living In The City is, as the title suggests, about life in a city and the good and the bad that comes with it - from opportunities for great success to feeling completely isolated.
"It takes so much energy to live in a city," explained Rhys. "It's expensive, relentless, busy, lonely at times, and tiring. But at the same time, it’s exciting and unpredictable, spontaneous, full of opportunities and over-populated with interesting people. And the more you give, the more you get back.”
As you would hope, the video - shot in London - matches the lyrics to a tee. Watch below:
Living In The City follows Rhys' previous offering Waking Up with You, which topped Spotify's Viral Chart and helped him sell out a London gig in 48 hours. His next show is at London's Borderline on March 30.
His album, which has been recorded in various studios across London, Nashville, Stockholm, LA and Berlin, is expected to follow this summer.
Living in the City is available to download and stream now.
