Slipknot’s Top 10 biggest songs on the UK's Official Chart
With their attention-grabbing masked personas and over two decades' worth of music under their belts, Slipknot is one of the most successful heavy metal groups on the planet.
The band has a notable history on the UK’s Official Chart; claiming six Top 40 singles and four Top 5 albums, including a Number 1 with 2001’s Iowa.
To celebrate the release of their sixth studio album We Are Not Your Kind - and their brand new masks - we unveil Slipknot’s all-time Top 10 biggest songs on the Official Chart, combining UK physical sales, downloads and streams.
Topping the list is Duality, arguably Slipknot's most famous track. It reached Number 15 in June 2004, becoming the band’s first and only Top 20 single. In total it’s clocked up 353,400 combined sales including just over 23 million streams. It’s also their most-downloaded single with 125,600 downloads.
Psychosocial, which peaked at Number 67 on the Official Singles Chart, is Slipknot’s second biggest hit, with 275,900 combined sales including 18.5 million streams. The biggest seller on physical formats is Wait And Bleed (4), with just short of 30,000 units (combined total 228,600). See the full Top 10 below.
When it comes to albums, Slipknot’s powerful self-titled debut takes the lead. Despite peaking at Number 37 on its release in 1999, it has since gone platinum with 378,000 combined sales.
At Number 2, the group’s Number 1 album Iowa has combined sales of 316,000. Their second collection debuted at Number 1 in September 2001, denying both The Strokes’ debut studio album This Is It, and Kingsize by Five the Official Albums Chart top spot.
