Skyfall spends a second week at Number 1 on the Official Video Chart
Skyfall, the latest instalment of the James Bond franchise, tops the Official Video Chart for a second week running.
According to Official Charts Company sales data, Skyfall was the most purchased DVD and Blu-ray in the UK for a second week in a row.
The latest instalment of the James Bond franchise, and third film to feature Daniel Craig in the title role, today maintains its position at Number 1 on the Official DVD, Official Blu-ray and Official Film On Video Charts, as well as the over-all Official Video Chart.
Killing Them Softly, which stars Brad Pitt, Richard Jenkins, James Gandolfini and Ray Liotta, enters the Official Video Chart at Number 2, while former chart topper, Madagascar 2 – Europe’s Most Wanted, is down one place to Number 3.
This week’s Top 5 is completed by Paranormal Activity 4 and Hope Springs, which debut at Number 4 and Number 5, respectively.
New entries
In addition to Killing Them Softly (Number 2), Paranormal Activity 4 (4) Hope Springs (5), there are two other new entries on this week’s Official Video Chart.
Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie, the 2012 animated remake of his 1984 short of the same name, debuts on this week’s Chart at Number 7, while Jacques Audiard’s Rust And Bone is new in at Number 29.
On the Official Music Video Chart, the 25th anniversary concert of Les Miserables reclaims the top spot from Emeli Sande’s Live At the Royal Albert Hall (Number 2), while David Attenborough's Africa holds onto Number 1 on the Official TV On Video Chart.
