Shortlist for Official Charts Pop Gem #65: Hot Hot Hot

Which of your favourite summer anthems have made it onto our scorching Pop Gem shortlist this week?

Phew! We are well and truly feeling the heat this week. As temperatures soar at Official Charts HQ, we’ve been on the prowl for your summery vibes for our Pop Gem Hot Hot Hot theme.

We wanted those tracks that would be the perfect soundtrack to a BBQ or a day at the beach, those summer anthems that cry out for sunglasses, slinky shorts and as many ice lollies as you can get your hands on.

Not every track had to be about summer, but it had to feel like summer, and you certainly didn’t disappoint. To be honest, it was too hot to argue much over this week’s shortlist – we played each one and if it made us reach for a bottle of water, it was in.

We narrowed it down to 12, and if you can’t quite recall some of them, we’ve got a video playlist of all the contenders.
