Each week, we look for your Pop Gems, those overlooked classics, those top tunes that used to be huge but somehow fell down the back of pop's sofa.

This week, the theme was FIRST DANCE – the classic tracks you would love to hear as you take to the dancefloor at your wedding.

Slushy, sassy or sexy, we didn’t care, just as long as we could picture you twirling beautifully, staring into each other’s eyes, while Grandma got stuck into the buffet for the tenth time that evening.

You’re a romantic lot, and despite a few surprises, most of our shortlist concerns itself with declarations of love. We fought like cat and dog picking a shortlist, as usual – every wedding needs a good punch-up – and got it down to this fantastic 14.
