Happy 4th of July, y’all! Which star-spangled favourite will grab the Pop Gem honour this week?

Happy 4th of July, y’all! Which star-spangled favourite will grab the Pop Gem honour this week?
Every week we ask for your Pop Gems – those songs that people know and love but have maybe not had as much attention as they deserved in recent times.
To celebrate the 4th of July, the USA's big day, we were looking for American Classics – tunes by your favourite Stateside stars or, just to mix things up, songs about America.
You started spreading the news and nominated your favourite star-spangled songs for the Pop Gem treatment.
We scratched our heads, we oohed and aahed as we relived the tunes on YouTube, and got them down to 12 finalists.
We’ve done a very handy video playlist of our delectable dozen, just in case you need to refresh your memory about how amazing they all are.
Which of our contenders are you backing?
