Shortlist for Official Charts Pop Gem #55: Happy Songs
This week it’s all about the feel-good factor, but which happy song are you backing?
This week it’s all about the feel-good factor, but which happy song are you backing?
Every week, we search for Pop Gems – your fave almost-forgotten classics, top tracks that used to be all over the radio but have somehow disappeared down the back of pop’s sofa.
After last week's sad song marathon, this week we’ve been looking for HAPPY SONGS – those overlooked classics that are a one-way ticket to a smile.
While some of the songs you suggested aren’t necessarily about being happy or particularly cheery, we couldn’t help but crack a grin as we listened to what was coming through.
We got it down to 11 big ones, some of them truly have been forgotten – that’s what Pop Gem is all about.
Who are you backing? If you need a bit of help remembering, check out our video playlist of this week’s shortlist.
