Shortlist for Official Charts Pop Gem #52: Talent Show Stars

To celebrate the final of BBC The Voice UK tomorrow, our Pop Gem theme was Talent Show Stars – winners, losers, auditionees, judges, coaches, mentors, presenters, the lot.

Every week, we get our Facebook fans and Twitter bezzies to help us pick a Pop Gem – those overlooked classics that used to be all over the radio but have, through no fault of their own, fallen down the back of pop’s sofa.

This week, to celebrate the final of BBC The Voice UK tomorrow , the theme was Talent Show Stars – winners, losers, auditionees, judges, coaches, mentors, presenters, the lot. Whoever.

We can honestly tell you this was our toughest shortlist yet. We thought for a while it would have to have fifty songs on it. Some acts had so many great tunes, we wondered whether we could present a shortlist of 10 with just two acts on it. (We couldn’t.)
