Ward teamed up with pioneering '80s producer Mike Stock (of Stock, Aitken and Waterman) on the record, which was funded with the help of his fans through music platform Pledge Music.

“I am so excited and proud to be able to announce the release of my new album in April 2015,” he said of the project. “I want to thank all you fans who have supported me all the way from when I first stepped into that X Factor audition room through my album releases, tours, Rock of Ages, Dancing on Ice and beyond.”

Stock added: “Writing and recording with Shayne is a dream.  In my experience the most talented are always the easiest to work with, and Shayne is proof of that!

“It’s been a while since I last recorded a solo male singer and I’m enjoying doing it again. Shayne is talented, professional and working together has been a real pleasure.

“As a producer all I ever want is to work with great singers.  I can’t think of a better male vocalist to emerge from the UK in the 21st Century than Shayne, so it’s a privilege.”

Ward won the second series of The X Factor in 2005 and topped the Official Singles Chart with his winner’s single That’s My Goal. He has since scored a further five Top 20 hits and three Top 20 albums. Check out his full week-by-week chart history here.
