Shawn Mendes and Beverley Knight to appear as music guests on Children In Need 2020
Children In Need celebrates its 40th anniversary with some big names.
BBC Children In Need has announced the lineup for this year's big event on Friday, November 13 - including two big music guests.
2020 marks 40 years of Children In Need and, as ever, big names will make appearances on the night.
The two-and-a-half hour show will be hosted by Mel Giedroyc, Stephen Mangan, Alex Scott and Chris Ramsey, and includes appearances by Shawn Mendes and Beverley Knight, as well as this year's Strictly dancers and the cast of West End musical Six. Shawn will give "a performance recorded especially for BBC Children in Need" while Beverley will be singing live from Elstree Studios.
There will also be comedy sketches from the casts of 'geeza diva' King Gary and BBC's The Goes Wrong Show, plus a star-studded sketch called Pudsey Bear: Behind the Bandana.

This Friday's show is the second Children In Need event for 2020. Earlier this year Children In Need and Comic Relief worked together to create The Big Night In during coronavirus lockdown in April. They raised an incredible £67,110,010 for charity.
The event featured the premiere of the video for Radio 1's Stay Home Live Lounge charity single, a cover of Foo Fighters' Times Like These, which soared to Number 1 on the Official Singles Chart the following week.
