Salvador Sobral wins the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 for Portugal
26 acts performed, 42 countries voted and it was Salvador Sobral for Portugal who won the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with his song Amar Pelos Dois.
Earning 382 points from the international juries and 376 as part of the televotes of all participating nations to score 758 points, the highest total ever achieved at Eurovision. Portugal's win is the first ever, a 53-year wait for a victory that came to an end tonight!
Salvador's song was one of only three tracks this year not to be sung in English, his Portuguese language track Amar Pelos Dois was written by himself and his sister, who performed it with him on stage after his victory.
