Sabrina Carpenter and Miley Cyrus neck-and-neck for Number 1 album
With less than 24 hours to go, it's all to play for
This week's Official Albums Chart Number 1 is going to come down to the wire.
At present, Sabrina Carpenter's enduringly popular Short N' Sweet album leads Miley Cyrus's newly released Something Beautiful LP by less than 100 units.
If Sabrina clings on, it would be the sixth non-consecutive week at Number 1 for Short N' Sweet, which dropped in August 2024. It would also mark the first time that the album – home to the Number 1 singles Espresso, Please Please Please and Taste – had spent two consecutive weeks at Number 1.
The stakes are equally high for Miley, who is aiming for her third UK Number 1 album following Bangerz (2013) and Endless Summer Vacation (2023). Four more of Miley's previous albums have charted inside the UK Top 10.
Fans have until 11.59pm tonight (June 5) to tip the scales either way. Will Sabrina or Miley be queen of the Official Albums Chart come tomorrow?
Meanwhile, alt-rock icons Garbage are tracking for this week's second-highest new entry. Their eighth studio album Let All That We Imagine Be the Light currently sits at Number 8, meaning it's on course to become the band's seventh UK Top 10 album.
Find out who takes this week's Official Number 1 Album trophy at OfficialCharts.com and The Official Chart with Jack Saunders on BBC Radio 1 this Friday June 5 from 4pm.
